Frequently Asked Questions by incoming students (and parents)

New students will receive their Wabash account information within two weeks of paying the enrollment deposit and submitting the Introduction to the New Student Road Map form.  Log into the application status portal to access the enrollment deposit payment page and the Introduciton to the New Student Road Map form.  Please contact your admissions counselor with any questions or concerns.
Wabash students use computers extensively in their class work.  Whether sharing papers and lab results with faculty and classmates, accessing on-line library and media resources, or continuing class discussions in the evening via email, almost all students use computers and our campus network every day.  Every academic department uses computers in some way.  Because of this, we strongly recommend that students have a computer at Wabash.  Currently, 97% of our students have their own computers at Wabash.

If you need to hone your skills with a particular software program, all students have unlimited access to Atomic Learning, an on-line learning system that offers self-paced courses for many computer programs and technologies, and IT Services offers several workshops each semester on using technology on campus. 天下足球网,球探比分 also sponsor a monthly noon Tech Talk (with free pizza!) to discuss common technology issues.

Wabash has seven public labs on campus.  Most labs are open until midnight or later; two labs are open 24 hours/day.  Many academic departments also have computers for students to use for work in a particular discipline.  天下足球网,球探比分 wide, Wabash has more than 380 computers dedicated to student use.  College computers are loaded with a wide range of commercial software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mathematica, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Internet Explorer, statistical programs, computer programming languages, and a variety of course-specific applications.
Wabash students can install Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) at portal.office.com.  Please visit /technology/software for details. Students can download Mathematica for free from our web site.  Additional commercial software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, is available through our innovative virtual computer lab.
